Spring
Yeah, I know it's only January, and it's as cold as it gets
here
, with frost on the ground one night in 5 and
highs in the low 50s. But wandering around the property I can't help but notice
all the trees budding, and the daffodils starting to poke up their heads. I'm
planting roses and bare root
trees
(the mortality rate was pretty high for my
saplings last year while I was in Hong Kong). We've moved our laundry room from
the barn closer to the house, and we're talking about building a greenhouse
around it. Mary's probably going to put some tomatoes in the old bathtub from
our (still being rebuilt) bathtub.I
love spring.
