Parking ticket
Mary and I both got parking tickets last week,
both for extremely non-obvious violations. (Mine, for example, was for parking
in a strange neighborhood on street-cleaning day, when there were no signs
indicating that within 150 yards of where I parked.) Mary wrote a note to
include with the payment:
"They're
threatening to close down my daughter's school because of budget shortages, and
yet there always seems to be enough money to pay the wages of assholes like
you."
Of course, she's too nice to
actually send such a note, but I think just writing it was cleansing to her
soul.
