Sold Tri-Continental Corporation
I bought this investment company because the
value of its assets seemed to be about 10% higher than its cost. So when it
went up about 10%, I sold it. (I had too much cash sitting around then; I don't
now.)
I'm currently looking for good
companies to short. I don't normally like short selling -- the best you can do
is double your money. Perhaps I should be looking into options -- though I
don't really understand the math behind them well enough to be that
enthusiastic.
