Fahrenheit 451: **1/2 (and dystopias)
The 1966 movie of Ray Bradbury's dystopian tale of a fascist (but
pleasant) book-burning society is interesting, but a bit too slow and talky for
my tastes.Rumor has it that Frank
Darabont (director of The Shawshank Redemption, an outstanding film)
is making a new one this year. I look forward to
it.My favorite dystopian books, in alphabetical
order:1984, by George
OrwellAnimal Farm, by George
OrwellBrave New World, by Aldous
HuxleyThe Handmaid's Tale, by Margaret
AtwoodIt Can't Happen Here, by Sinclair
Lewis
