Freaky Friday: ***1/2
Agreeable remake. Jamie Lee Curtis has a good
time playing 15, though it seems an awful lot like she's hitting 11 more often.
Still, good clean fun.
How many
age-swapping movies are there? 2 Freaky Fridays, 2 Vice Versas (the original in
1948), 18 Again (ghastly, with George Burns), Like Father Like Son, Dream a
Little Dream... I'm sure there are others. Big with Tom Hanks doesn't quite
count, since nobody old turns young. And The Kid with Bruce Willis hits some of
the same notes, but definitely doesn't count. Gender swapping is pretty common,
too: All of Me a notable example.
