Resident Evil 4: ****
I just played RE4 on GameCube. Scary
fun!
It feels pretty different from
previous Resident Evil games, being a lot more like a third-person shooter than
before. It had looked like this game franchise was on its way down the tubes,
so I have to give them kudos for having the guts to re-engineer the basics of
the way the game work to make it more fun. Sometimes fear of angering fans can
reduce a game to lowest-common-denominator hackery that leaves noone
satisfied.
