Perversion in Congress

sensibilities.
So Mark Foley (R-FL), aka "Maf54," having sex chat with 16 year old boys is admittedly even more scandalous than Clinton receiving oral pleasure in the Oval Office, but it still registers pretty low on my importance meter, maybe a 2. However, it is funny to see the "family values" Republicans squirm.
Frankly, I might be more concerned about Foley's poor grammar and spelling. What kind of idiots are we electing? But these relationships are nonphysical, and the "boys" are sixteen or older -- which hardly makes him a pedophile.
And the Republican leadership that knew about it for years ? I'm not shocked (or all that horrified) that they covered it up, but it does seem surprising that they didn't make him stop. "Dude, you're going to get busted. Lay off the little boys!"
So we have a pervert sitting in congress. Big deal. Seems pretty insignificant compared to almost all of 'em -- Democrat and Republican alike -- and their horrific campaign financing. And I don't even want to talk abut lying to start a war. Let's have some perspective.
