Cool Science Facts is a new
weekly column by Drew Olbrich , a
buddy who went to school with Eric (Eric's Ultimate Solitaire
) Snider. Drew's wife, coincidentally, is a friend of Mary's from high
school.

One the one hand, it looks farther away than we
usually think of it. On the other hand, it's only 20 times as far from the
Earth to the moon as it is from California to Australia. Weird.
